I think Tom Hanks is one of the greatest actor in the world.
For me, he is not the good-looking type, not like Tom Cruise (Cute-looking) and Richard Gere (Gentleman). However, his charm just always keeps my eyes on him. He really know what is acting. I first know him from Sleepless in Seattle (that is also the first time i heard of Seattle.hehe...). Tom Hanks acted as a widower who miss his wife so much. I still remember how he expressed his misses for his wife on-air. Too romantic and touched. Luckily, he finally found his 2nd true love, Meg Ryan. I think he does make good couple with Meg Ryan.
Then, my favourite movie~ Forrest Gump~ I can't remember how many times i have watched it. A man with an IQ of 75, Forrest Gump. Even though he is a bit mentally retarded, he has experienced many things that we can't never met in our life. He managed to go to college because he can run like light; he joined vietnam war and survived; he saved many lifes and was rewarded medal of honor; he represented US to play ping-pong against China team; he ran across the country and the course and become really famous. He invested in shrimph boat business because of a promise with his friend, Bubba.Unbelievable!
His love for Jenny started from the first day he go to school and never ever end. His endless love finally touched Jenny's heart and they get married. Unfortunately, Jenny died afterwards. The only person by his sides now is a little boy, Forrest & Jenny's son.
Tom just played the character so well. Everyone will love it.
There are other Tom's movies which i like a lot such as Saving Private Ryan, You've Got a Mail, The Green Miles( another best movie, adapted from Steven King's novel, i must cry each and every time i watch it),Cast Away...
But, there is 1 movie starred by Tom which i don't like,Da Vinci Code, not that i don't like the story or the actors, its just that the movie involved lots of unfamiliar things to me...i think christians may find it more familiar.
Looking for Catch Me if You Can and Philadelphia now. Waiting for your new movie....dear Tom.
